Akshaya Chandra Ray Memorial Award 2024

Bhubaneswar:10/7/24:Pratibha Ray Foundation Trust & Adya Prakashani have announced the Akshaya Chandra Ray Memorial award in the Novel (Odia) category for 2024. The award, instituted in 2020 and reflecting the trust’s commitment to promote fiction writing in Odia is an everlasting memory of eminent engineer Shri Akshaya Chandra Ray, Founder, Adya Prakashani, President, Bhashayan and Raaga.

To encourage novel writing in Odia literature, submissions in the form of published novels are invited from Odia writers below fifty. Publishers can also submit entries. The novel needs to have been published five years before the year of the award. So novels published in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 & 2022 will be taken into consideration for the award for 2024.

The deadline for entries is 10th September 2024. Two copies of the book need to be sent by post/courier to the following address: “Akhyaeeka”, 27, Gajapati Nagar, Bhubaneswar-751005, along with the writer’s name, address for correspondence, contact no, and proof of date of birth, as decided by the selection committee and informed by the convenor, Dr. Adyasha Das.

He had made solid contribution on cinema in many odia Dailies and weekly such as Samaj, Prajatantra, Dharatri, Samaya, Satabadi, and weekly Samaya.
