President Droupadi Murmu Lands In Bhubaneswar For 4-Day Odisha Visit

Bhubaneswar:6/7/24: President Droupadi Murmu has arrived in Bhubaneswar for a four-day visit to Odisha and is scheduled to attend the Rath Yatra in Puri tomorrow. She traveled to Bhubaneswar on a special Indian Air Force flight.

Governor of Odisha Raghubar Das and Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi received President Droupadi Murmu on her arrival in Bhubaneswar.

From the airport, the President proceeded directly to Jaydev Bhavan to participate in the 96th death anniversary commemoration of Utkalmani Gopabandhu Das.

The President will stay overnight at Raj Bhavan today and will attend the Mahaprabhu’s Gundicha Jatra (Car Festival) in Puri tomorrow.

Extensive security measures have been implemented for the President’s visit, adhering to the protocols outlined in the Blue Book. The travel route will be designated as a no-fly zone, and the roads she will use are to be sealed off. Security will be jointly provided by the state police and the President’s special security teams, with rooftop snipers in place as a precaution.

On July 8, President Murmu is set to visit the Udayagiri Caves and engage with students from the Bibhuti Kanungo College of Art and Crafts and the Utkal University of Culture. Later that day, she will inaugurate the Brahma Kumaris’ Divine Retreat Centre at Haridamada village near Bhubaneswar and initiate the ‘Lifestyle for Sustainability’ campaign.

On July 9, the President will also preside over the 13th Graduation Ceremony of the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) in Bhubaneswar.
