Odisha CM chaired the special review and coordination meeting ahead of the world-famous Rath Yatra

Puri:2/7/24: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi today chaired the special review and coordination meeting in Puri Municipality Hall ahead of the world-famous Rath Yatra.

He announced two days of holiday for the festival on the 7th and 8th of July as this year the Rath Yatra is being observed for two days. The rituals of the upcoming Rath Yatra will be performed as per the rituals conducted during the festival in 1971.

Two Deputy Chief Ministers KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida were also present with him. The ministers of various departments, all the MLAs of the districts, the Chief Administrator of Srimandir, the Collector, the SP and the administrative officers of Srimandir were present in the meeting.

The main focus of the meeting is to streamline the smooth conduct of this year’s Rath Yatra, make arrangements for the devotees and strengthen the law-and-order situation during the festival in the pilgrim town. Arrangements will be made accordingly to ensure that the festival is conducted in a disciplined way.
