Ranpur MLA Surama Padhy is all set to be the next Speaker of the Odisha Assembly

Bhubaneswar:19/6/24: Senior BJP leader and Ranpur MLA Surama Padhy is all set to be the next Speaker of the Odisha Assembly.

She submitted her nomination papers for the post of Speaker of the Odisha Legislative Assembly.

Padhy filed her nomination papers in the presence of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Deputy Chief Ministers KV Singh Deo and Pravati Parida, and MLAs.

The election for the post of Assembly Speaker will be held on June 20.

Surama will be the next Speaker as no other candidate has filed any nomination papers by the stipulated time today.

Earlier today Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi had called on Biju Janata Dal Supremo Naveen Patnaik and discussed the Speaker election.

She is all set to be the next Speaker elected unopposed.
