Ranendra Pratap Swain was sworn in as the Pro-tem Speaker of the 17th Odisha Legislative Assembly

Bhubaneswar:14/6/24: Athagarh MLA Ranendra Pratap Swain was sworn in as the Pro-tem Speaker of the 17th Odisha Legislative Assembly.

Governor Raghubar Das administered the oath of office to Swain as the Pro-tem Speaker of the 17th Odisha Legislative Assembly in a swearing-in ceremony held at Abhishek Hall of Raj Bhavan here in the presence of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.

The eight-time MLA was appointed as the Pro-tem Speaker on Thursday.

All the elected members will take oath on June 18 and 19.

The election to Speaker post will be held on June 20.
