Prime Minister’s meeting with Prime Minister of UK on the sidelines of the G7 Summit

Apulia:14/6/24: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi held a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister H.E. Mr. Rishi Sunak of the United Kingdom on the sidelines of the G7 Summit in Apulia, Italy, today. PM Sunak congratulated PM on his historic third consecutive term. The two leaders reaffirmed the shared commitment of both countries to strengthen bilateral relations further.

The leaders discussed the implementation of the Roadmap 2030. They expressed happiness about progress in all areas of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership including regular high-level political consultations, defense and security, trade and economic collaboration, critical and high technology sectors, and people-to-people ties. They also expressed satisfaction with the progress made in the Free Trade Agreement negotiations between the two countries. Both leaders also discussed regional and multilateral matters of mutual interest.
