Chhattisa Niyog Meets To Ensure Smooth Conduct Of Rituals From Snana Purnima To Rath Yatra

Puri14/6/24:: A high-level meeting of the Chhattisa Niyog was held on Friday in which the timings of rituals were approved for Rajendra Abhishek of Mahaprabhu Jagannath on June 17 till Niladri Bije.

On behalf of the Srimandir administration, the Chhattisa Niyog has sought the cooperation of sevayats to ensure the smooth conduct of the Snana Purnima ritual of Lord Mahaprabhu and the world-famous Rath Yatra.

As the Debasnana Purnima of Mahaprabhu Jagannath is scheduled to be held on June 22, the Chhattisa Niyog emphasized the conduct of all rituals in an orderly manner.

On Snana Purnima, the Pahandi will be held between 4 am to 6 am; Chhera Pahanra at 2 pm; Hati Besa at 2:40 pm; Sahana Mela between 6:30 pm and 9:30 pm; Bahuda Pahanda between 10:30 pm and 1 pm; and Suna Chita at 1:30 pm.

The Srimandir administration, however, has informed that there may be a change in the timings of the rituals if required.

Chief administrator Vir Vikram Yadav said that all arrangements will be made as huge footfall of devotees is anticipated during the Snana Yatra ritual.

Also, the Sevayats have assured full cooperation to streamline the upcoming Snana Purnima and Rath Yatra.

SJTA Chief Administrator Vir Vikram Yadav presided over the Chhattisa Niyoga meeting held at Niladri Bhakta Niwas, while District Collector Siddharth Shankar Swain, SP Pinak Mishra, senior officials of the SJTA, servitor members of the Srimandir management committee and Chhattisa Niyoga were present.
