Election Commission of India has issued notification for the 7th and last phase of Lok Sabha elections

Bhubaneswar:7/5/24: The Election Commission of India has issued notification for the 7th and last phase of Lok Sabha elections. In this phase, 57 Lok Sabha constituencies spread across seven states, including six in Odisha, and one Union territory will vote on June 1. The others are 13 seats each from Uttar Pradesh and Punjab, nine from West Bengal, eight from Bihar, four from Himachal Pradesh, three from Jharkhand, and one from the Union territory of Chandigarh.

The deadline for filing nominations is May 14, with the last date for withdrawal set for May 17.

The constituencies in Odisha which will go to polls in this phase are Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, and Jagatsinghpur. The state will be voting simultaneously for Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha in four rounds on May 13, May 20, May 25 and June 1.
