Odisha government has transferred 5 senior OAS officers on the direction of Election Commission of India

Bhubaneswar:21/3/24: The Odisha government has transferred 5 senior OAS officers on the direction of Election Commission of India (ECI).

According to an official notification of the General Administration department on Thursday, OAS officer Jyoti Shankar Mishra, who is serving as OSD in Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) in Puri on deputation, has been transferred as additional secretary, Law department.

Similarly, Ramchandra Kisku, administrative officer, Keonjhar Government Medical College and Hospital, has been shifted as additional secretary, Steel, and Mines department.

Senior OAS officer Prasanna Kumar Patra, presently holding the post of general manager, RIC, Ganjam has been shifted to the post of additional secretary, Science and Technology department.

Gayatri Dutt, managing director of Aska Sugar Mill has been appointed as deputy general manager, OSDMA and Subrat Kumar Jena, administrative officer in CDMO, Berhampur transferred as land officer in Idco, Bhubaneswar.

The OAS officers have been transferred as per the guidelines of the Election Commission, the notification stated.

It may be noted that Odisha unit of BJP had filed a written complaint against some officers with the chief electoral officer in the state.
