Police and CRPF conducted flag march in Gunupur town in a bid to instill confidence in the voters

Rayagada:19/3/2w4:  , police and CRPF conducted flag march in Gunupur town of Odisha’s Rayagada district on Tuesday.

Speaking to media persons, additional SP of Gunupur Sadar Babuli Nayak said the flag march was conducted as part of security exercise ahead of the elections to Lok Sabha and Assembly in the constituency.

The personnel of Odisha Police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) started the flag march from Gunupur police station. It went around the town through new bus stand and reached the bypass before returning to the poice station.

The additional SP and IIC of Gunupur Model police station Uttam Nayak led the forces in the flag march.

Stating that a flying squad has been formed to keep a close watch on criminals and anti-socials during the elections, the additional SP said checking of the vehicles and patrolling would be intensified in the days to come.
