District Level Preparations for Upcoming Elections Reviewed

Bhubaneswar8/3/24: A review meeting has been held at the office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Odisha regarding the district-level preparations for the ensuing general and assembly elections in the State.

The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Electoral Officer Dr. N. Thirumala Naik through virtual mode.

The meeting was attended by Addl. Chief Electoral Officer Satrughna Kar and Addl. Chief Electoral Officer Mihira Prasad Mohanty. The officials reviewed the upcoming election preparations in various districts.

ADMs and other officials of Puri, Gajapati, Jharsuguda, and Mayurbhanj districts, etc. gave detailed information on various aspects of the election preparations of their respective districts through virtual mode.

In this meeting, there was a discussion about district-level training, postal ballot management, etc. It was discussed that presiding officers and polling officers can get all the training related to EVM. Arrangements will also be made to clear everyone’s doubts after the training. Then they will give a special test. By this, they can get detailed knowledge about election management and perform their responsibilities properly.

To make the upcoming general elections free and fair, various programs are being conducted by the CEO focusing on the smooth conduct of the elections from the district level.
