Bhubaneswar:28/2/24:Odisha Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik inaugurated today 133 new animal service vehicles. It has been implemented under the Chief Minister’s Traveling Veterinary Services programme. The Chief Minister launched it today at a function organized by the Department of Fisheries and Livestock Development at Kalinga Stadium.
Through this, in areas where there is no veterinary facility, mobile veterinary units can reach the sick animals immediately and provide veterinary treatment. The Chief Minister’s Mobile Veterinary Service is becoming very useful in providing emergency healthcare to sick animals.
Earlier these mobile units were done on hire. In the first phase, 181 mobile veterinary units were set up at Rs 30 crore. Another 133 new mobile veterinary care units have been launched today at Rs 21 crore 28 lakh.
