High-level meeting was held for preparations being made for President Droupadi Murmu’s ensuing Odisha visit

Bhubaneswar:22/2/24: Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena on Thursday chaired a high-level meeting to review preparations being made for President Droupadi Murmu’s ensuing Odisha visit.

The President is scheduled to visit her home state between February 28 and March 2 to attend various programmes in Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Berhampur, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Sambalpur.

Because of the President’s visit, a high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary at Lok Seva Bhawan.

The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department Deo Ranjan Kumar Singh, Secretaries of concerned departments, DGP Arun Kumar Sarangi, senior police officers and officers of different departments.

Dr Santosh Bala, Special Secretary of the Home Department informed about the various programmes during the President’s visit in Odisha.

A detailed discussion was held in the meeting regarding the security arrangements and other necessary preparations for the President’s visit.

A control room will be set up by the Home Department to ensure for the smooth conduct of the different programmes during the President’s visit.
