Odisha Chief Minister launched the LAccMI Bus scheme in three more districts

Bhubaneswar: 31/1/2 4:Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday launched the LAccMI Bus scheme in three more districts – Deogarh, Angul, and Dhenkanal through video conferencing.
A total of 101 buses will run in 440 Panchayats in these three districts benefiting more than 27 lakh people. As many as 17 buses will operate in 69 Panchayats in Degoarh. The scheme will benefit over 3 lakh people in the district. 29 buses will run in 176 Panchayats of Angul and 11.50 lakh people will benefit. Similarly, 55 buses will run in 195 Panchayats of Dhenkanal benefiting 13 lakh people, according to an official release.

In this scheme, bus service from Panchayat to Block has been facilitated. More than 1000 buses will run across the state. In this innovative scheme, which has been launched under the 5T initiatives of the State Government, the Mission Shakti members have been given the responsibility of managing the bus service.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said that the LAccMI bus service has made our life easier. It will play an important role in strengthening the economy of the village.
It is worth noting that this scheme was first started in Malkangiri. In the first phase, residents of Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Gajapati, and Koraput districts got LAccMI bus service. Today, three more districts were added to this system.

The Chief Minister said that we aim to make the Panchayat the center of development. We aim to strengthen the economy of the village. The LAccMI Bus will play an important role in it.
Mentioning the recently launched Shri Jagannath Express Bus Service in this scheme, the Chief Minister said that Shri Jagannath Express Bus Service has been started for the darshan of Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath and to experience the Srimandir Parikrama Project of the holy Trinity. The bus ticket price for women has been halved.

The Chief Minister further said that the LAccMI Bus will connect people to people and strengthen social and economic life, take the child to school and college, and connect farmers to markets. He said that women and students can travel in this bus for only 5 rupees.

Attending the program, Ministers Tukuni Sahu and Prafulla Kumar Mallik said that due to the vision of the Chief Minister, the people of the village are getting the benefits of the city today. LAccMI Yojana has improved the life of rural people.

Participating in the programme, 5T and Nabin Odisha Chairman Kartik Pandian said that the LAccMI Bus is the property of the people, so all should take proper care of it. He also advised the staff of LAccMI Bus to treat people with due respect and take care of their safety.
