Odisha  Chief Minister will lay the foundation stone for the Bhubaneswar Metro Rail Project tomorrow

Bhubaneswar:31/12/23: Odisha  Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will lay the foundation stone for the Bhubaneswar Metro Rail Project tomorrow. All arrangements are nearing completion for this grand event at Ratagada, Nuasahi near Trisulia. Naveen will first garland the statue of his father and former Chief Minister Biju Patnaik at the Airport and go on a roadshow to Trisulia. Grand thanksgiving and felicitation programs are scheduled at different junctions of the city through which the Chief Minister’s roadshow will move. According to sources, thousands of people are likely to attend the roadshow and offer gratitude to the Chief Minister for the historic project. The roadshow will start from the Airport and move through Capital Hospital Square, Sastri Nagar, Jayadev Vihar, Xavier Square, Patia, Damana, KIIT Square, Raghunathpur, Nandankanan, and Baranga till Trisulia.

The Chief Minister is also scheduled to interact with people at various places en route to Trisulia. He will interact with people near Capital Hospital Square, 120 Infantry Battalion, Jayadev Vihar Square, Xavier Square, Rail Sadan, District Centre, Indian Oil Square, Patia, KIIT Square, Nandan Vihar and Raghunathpur, Nandankanan Zoological Park Square, Barang Square and Phulapokhari. Naveen will also address a public gathering at Trisulia.

While all arrangements have been completed by the District administration for the Foundation Stone Laying program of the project, the Commissionerate Police has also chalked out a detailed security arrangement for the Chief Minister’s roadshow. The Bhubaneswar Metro Rail Project will connect Bhubaneswar Airport with Trisulia at the outskirts of Cuttack in the first phase. The 26-kilometer-long route will have 20 stations. The ambitious project entails an investment of Rs 6255 Crore. The project is expected to be completed in four years.
