Odisha Finance Minister Bikram Keshari Arukh participated 52nd meeting of GST Council

Newdelhi:7/10/23:The 52nd meeting of GST Council was held at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan in New Delhi under the chairmanship of Union Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitaraman. Odisha Finance Minister Shri Bikram Keshari Arukh participated in the meeting discussed many issues by the state and presented various demands.

Demand was presented by Odisha for a reduction in GST rate on millet-based products. This will encourage millet farming and help the public include more millet in their diets. Along with this, a strange demand was presented by Odisha.
Finance department chief governing secretary Shri Vishal Kumar Dev and Odisha GST commissioner Shri Sanjay Kumar Singh attended the meeting.
