Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment of Odisha conducted the first Organizing Committee meeting for hosting the International Convention on Millets (ICM) in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: 16/8/23:The Department of Agriculture & Farmers’ Empowerment has conducted the first Organizing Committee meeting to discuss the action plan for hosting the International Convention on Millets (ICM) in Bhubaneswar in November this year.

The meeting was conducted under the Chairmanship of Principal Secretary of Agriculture Department Dr. Arabinda Padhee, at Krushi Bhavan.

ICM will highlight the Odisha Millet Mission’s best practices with international and national delegates, farmers, FPOs, SHGs, NGOs, private stakeholders, and government officials. It will also outline a millet roadmap for the next decade.

Director A&FP Prem Chandra Chaudhary, Director I&PR Saroj Samal and attendees from ICAR-Indian Institute of Millets Research (IIMR), OUAT, FICCI etc. participated in the meeting. They deliberated on essential tasks for the convention’s successful execution.
