Eminent journalist and writer Basudev Mohapatra passed away

Bhubaneswar: 1/5/23:Eminent journalist and writer Basudev Mohapatra passed away on Monday. He was suffering from ailments for some time, said family sources.

Today morning Mohapatra complained of severe chest pain and was rushed to Capital Hospital where doctors declared him dead.

A noted scribe working for pro-poor causes, Mohapatra had also carved a niche in environmental journalism.

A student of Godavarish Vidyapitha, Mohapatra completed his post-graduation in History from Berhampur University.

He worked with a number of vernacular media channels at Editorial positions and wrote for prestigious publications.

He was passionate about science and sustainability and has written several articles on these subjects.

Mohapatra is survived by his wife Sujata, also a journalist, and their son. The journalist fraternity of the State expressed deep condolences on his untimely demise.
