Three noted personalities from Odisha received the prestigious Padma Shri

Newdelhi:5/4/23: The President of India, Droupadi Murmu presented 3 Padma Vibhushan, 5 Padma Bhushan and 47 Padma Shri Awards for the year 2023 at the Civil Investiture Ceremony-II held at Rashtrapati Bhavan this evening.

From Odisha, three noted personalities received the prestigious Padma Shri. They are: Odia litterateur Dr Antaryami Mishra, Folk singer Dr Krishna Patel and Traditional herbalist Pataet Sahu.

Dr Antaryami Mishra is an Odia litterateur famous for portraying the Odia language’s history & culture. He has been awarded the Padmashri 2023 for his contributions to the field of Literature & Education.

Shri Pataet Kumar Sahu is a medicinal plant farmer popular for planting over 3,000 medicinal plants and providing free treatment. He has been awarded the Padmashri 2023 for his contributions to the field of Agriculture.

Dr Krishna Patel is a renowned Sambalpuri folk singer with an illustrious career spanning over 4 decades. She has been awarded the Padmashri 2023 for her contributions to the field of Art.
