Subasa Mohanta, a custodian farmer of Odisha Millets Mission (OMM) has interacted with Prime Minister

Bhubaneswar: 19/3/23:Subasa Mohanta, a custodian farmer of Odisha Millets Mission (OMM) has interacted with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Global Millets (Shree Anna) Conference in New Delhi.

The OMM farmer interacted with the Prime Minister on seed conservation and natural farming at the conference, which aims at promotion and awareness of millets.

The Prime Minister appreciated her efforts and received millet handicraft from her.

The two-day Global Millets (Shree Anna) Conference was inaugurated by the Prime Minister at NASC Complex, Pusa, New Delhi on Saturday.

The objective of the conference is to engage nutritionists, health experts, policy makers, industry leaders, international speakers and key stakeholders in taking forward the various initiatives of the Government and to deliberate on millets consumption, health benefits, research, innovations, sustainability, and food system transformation.
