 PM Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman (PM-VIKAS) Yojana announced in the Budget 2023 will benefit the artisans of Odisha

Bhubaneswar:17/2/23: PM Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman (PM-VIKAS) Yojana announced in the Budget 2023 will benefit the artisans of Odisha, said Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman here today.

Addressing a presser here today, Sitharaman, who is on two-day visit to Odisha, said, “All the artisans from Odisha will be greatly benefitted from the PM Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman (PM-VIKAS) Yojana. The artisans in paintings, pattachitra, stone sculpture and weaving will be benefitted from the announcement which has been made in the annual budget this year.”

The details of the scheme will be briefed during ongoing budget session of the Parliament.

The FM had introduced the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman (PM-VIKAS) scheme during the Union Budget presentation for the year 2023.

According to reports, the newly announced scheme has been developed aiming at unlocking the potential of artisans and craftsmen around the country. Under the scheme, the government will allow the artisans to enhance their caliber, scope and reach their goods by providing them training, technology.
