President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the New Abhishek Hall at Raj Bhawan in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar10/2/23:On the first day of her visit to Odisha on Friday, President Droupadi Murmu inaugurated the New Abhishek Hall at Raj Bhawan in Bhubaneswar.Spread over 47,390 square feet area, the New Abhishek Hall has seating capacity of 900 guests. It can accommodate 1,200 more people, if necessary. It has been constructed with an estimated cost of Rs 25.23 crore, according to official sources.

The Hall having a huge conference room, banquet hall and five lounges has been built with primary purpose of hosting swearing-in ceremonies of the ministries. It can also be used for meetings and other purposes, they said.Governor Ganeshi Lal and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik were present during the inaugural function.Earlier, the President attended the convocations of RD Women’s University in the city where she was a student in her college career. She arrived at Bhubaneswar on Friday on her two-day visit to the state.
