Eminent painter Bansidhar Pratihari has been conferred with the prestigious Dharmapada Award 2022

Bhubaneswar6/2/23: Eminent painter Bansidhar Pratihari has been conferred with the prestigious Dharmapada Award 2022, the highest honour in the field of fine arts and architecture.

The award has been given by the Odisha Lalit Kala Akademi under the Odia Language, Literature and Culture at a function held here on Monday.

The Akademi also awarded five noted personalities for special felicitations. They are Brajabandhu Mishra (Sculptor), Laxmidhar Subudhi (Palm leave artist), Bhramarbar Nayak (Pattachitra painter), Ramesh Kumar Behera and Keshab Chandra Maharana.

The Dharmapada Award carries a prize of Rs 5 lakh, a citation and a shawl. The special awardees will each be felicitated with Rs 1 lakh cash and a citation.

On the occasion, the 40th state-level Charukala awards were conferred on seven noted artists of Odisha.
